Join Maureen for a 2-hour workshop to explore backbends and deepen your practice. This engaging session will focus on developing strength, flexibility, and proper alignment in backbends. We’ll start with targeted warm-ups to prepare your body, followed by a series of foundational poses that build towards more advanced backbends. You’ll learn key techniques to enhance your comfort and safety, including alignment tips and breathing practices that support your movement. Throughout the workshop, we’ll address common challenges and provide personalized adjustments, ensuring that each participant feels confident and supported. By the end, you’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to integrate backbends into your practice effectively.
Exceptionally, the Sunday yin class on the 15th will be transformed into a two-hour workshop, accompanied by a thematic brunch afterwards (an opportunity to get together “differently”!). Winter, THE yin season, with its peak during the Solstice. While in autumn we learn to “lighten up” and let go, winter invites us to keep and cherish what will be essential to us in order to be reborn later, in spring. On the 15th, a two-hour yin workshop dedicated to this season. The option for a winter brunch served by Laura, chef at La Table du Winner’s, will be available.
