Backbends are often seen as expansive, heart-opening postures, but behind that openness lies a quiet structure of strength, preparation, and patience. In this two-hour session, we’ll take the time to unpack what backbending really means, physically and energetically, and how to approach it with safety, curiosity, and clarity.
We’ll begin with a slow, focused warm-up to prepare the spine, shoulders, and hips. From there, we’ll explore a progression of postures, from accessible foundations to deeper variations, looking closely at alignment, breath, and how to activate the body in a supportive way. Expect a balance of strength and mobility work, active drills, and space for integration and rest.
This workshop is open to all levels. Whether you’re newer to backbends or want to refine your existing practice, you’ll leave with practical tools and a deeper understanding of how to make these postures feel more sustainable, empowering, and integrated into your body.

The 1.5-hour session is centered on the pelvic area as a source of movement, intuition, and creativity. The approach is rooted in somatic practices: these are gentle, mindful ways of moving that bring attention to the inner sensations of the body, rather than external performance. Here is a bit of the “agenda” for the workshop:
– The workshop will begin with a grounding somatic exploration, using breath, sensation, and subtle movement to connect with the pelvis, often seen as a physical and emotional center.
– From there, we’ll move into guided and free-form movement, allowing your body to respond naturally, without choreography or expectation.
– Gradually, this will open into a shared movement space where personal gestures can become part of a spontaneous, collective expression.
The emphasis is not on dancing “well”, but on listening to your body, following its impulses, and allowing space for expression to emerge in a safe, supported environment.

Step into the heart of summer with a two-hour Yin Yoga workshop designed to help you embody the power of the fire season.
Rooted in the principles of Chinese medicine and inspired by the energy of summer—the most yang season—this session is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with your inner balance. We’ll explore deep, grounding poses that stimulate the heart, pericardium, small intestine, and triple burner meridians, supporting emotional clarity, vitality, and resilience.
Through mindful stillness, we’ll nurture the joy and abundance associated with this season, while also protecting the yin essence that keeps us centered when life feels fast, bright, and full.
In parallel, we’ll explore the fire element from the lens of Hindu philosophy—awakening the solar plexus chakra, the seat of inner power, confidence, and transformation. Expect poses that gently activate this energy center, inviting in strength, motivation, and a deeper connection to your purpose.
This workshop is open to all levels, all anatomies, and offered in both English and French. Whether you’re new to Yin or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll leave with a renewed sense of inner fire and calm.
